We are at our core a First Amendment education organization whose primary mission is to reverse through information and education what we see as an unhealthy trend – in a democracy -- toward secrecy at all levels of government.

The 95-county audit we completed in November 2004 and our support for “Sunshine Sunday” and “Sunshine Week” initiatives in 2005 are building blocks toward our goal to increase public understanding of the impact of this trend toward greater secrecy.
